Description
ALLODERM SELECT™ 1x2 Thin (0.8–1.2 mm) is a prescription-only human acellular dermal matrix (ADM) designed for homologous use in soft tissue repair or replacement. This biologic material is derived from donated human skin tissue and processed to remove cells while preserving the structural integrity of the extracellular matrix. It is used in procedures requiring support for deficient or compromised integumentary tissue.
In post-mastectomy breast reconstruction, ALLODERM SELECT™ RTM may be used where the ADM serves a homologous function, such as addressing tissue deficits resulting from autologous tissue harvest. It is not intended for use in non-homologous applications such as pocket formation for implants, expander constraint, or extrusion prevention. The product is supplied for single-patient, single-use implantation.
The matrix must be hydrated in sterile saline or lactated Ringer’s solution at room temperature for at least 2 minutes before use. The dermal side should be oriented toward the most vascular tissue to support integration and healing. It is contraindicated in patients with known sensitivities to Polysorbate 20 or any antibiotics listed on the package.
